Australia Part 2 : Aidilfitri 2016 & Auburn

Okay to be completely honest, I totally forgot the exact sequence of the places we went to but I'll try my best okay! Also, if I got any of the places/names wrong please correct me-__-

So we arrived in Sydney about 3 days before Eid Ul Fitri and thought let's just go sight seeing, buy some groceries and maybe go for a walk at the nearby park. We celebrated Eid at the Sydney Malaysian Hall and got to meet lots of Malaysians studying/living in Sydney! I even bumped into one of my former lecturer there. It was such a sweet reunion!

Take 350 T_T

The day before we went sight seeing around the town, teman my mom pergi beli pinggan mangkuk, and went to the park. Oh God lambat sangat update dah tak ingat the names of all these places we went to.

After the first day of raya, we went to Cogee Beach. The beach was about 5-10 minutes from our airbnb home in Kingsford. Great place to visit if you have small children because of it's location. I think this was one of the most beautiful beaches I've been to. Breathtaking view and the weather was perfect. Oh and it was clean, not something you would see in our Malaysian public beaches very often ey?(sad, i know)

We also went to Auburn on the same day, which was about 40-50 minutes drive from Kingsford if I remember correctly. Stopped for Zohor prayer at the Auburn Gallipoli Mosque. The mosque is a slightly modernized example of Ottoman architecture. The interior is decorated with intricate calligraphy and geometric motifs.

Believe it or not, this is actually a mosque! The absence of typical mosque components such as minarets, domes and such make it rather unique. And I'm a huuuuuge fan of the marble finish! Less is definitely more.

To be continued....
